Join us Thursday, August 25th for the End of Summer Poolside Cocktail Party and Kid's End of Summer Splash-Down Party. Wrap up the summer poolside with your Club friends before the school year starts and reality sets in. Both parties start at 6pm. Call the Office for more information.

Reminder: Court Resurfacing

Reminder to our members: The indoor courts are being resurfaced this week. We are keeping our fingers crossed that they will be playable on Monday. We have chosen the new US Open colors of green and blue (similar to picture). We look forward to this new change. Thank you for your patience as we all will enjoy the new courts!

PNW Tournament Dinner

Sign up for the PNW Tournament Dinner on July 29th.
This year's theme is Wimbledon so wear your whites.
There will be a Kid Event simultaneously going on in the Clubhouse.

Kid's Night Out

When: Friday, July 15th

From 6:30 pm till Saturday, July 16^th at 7:00 am!

Where: TLTC and Garfield Park

Who: Members ages 4 and up!  Non-members are welcome! (Ages 6 and up may spend the night!)

What to bring:  Sleeping bag, pillow, swim suit, towel, and what ever else you need for the night!

Why:  A fun night to hang out with your friends down at the club and give your parents a relaxing night alone!

Cost: Kids staying all night: $35 for first child; $30 for the second or more children / Only staying till 11:30: $20 for first child; $15 for the second or more.

The night includes a scavenger hunt around the neighborhood, lawn games, obstacle course, water balloon fight, s'mores, and late night swimming!

Drop off your kids at the club on Friday night at 6:30pm and pick them up on Saturday morning at 7:00 am!

Kids that don’t wan t to spend the night can be picked up at 11:30 pm!

* Please send your kids fed!  Your child must be at least at least 6 years old to spend the night. Be prepared to hear how little sleep your kids get!

PNW Tickets

Attention Members: The PNW Tournament passes were not included in your bill. They will be coming out in a separate mailing.

Swim Meet - July 6th

Reminder: There will be a home swim meet, tomorrow July 6th against the Morgan Family YMCA. Warm up will be at noon with a 1:00pm start time. The meet should last until at least 4pm.

8th Annual Western Round-up

The 8th annual Western Round-up will be Friday, July 8th at 5:30pm. There will be pony rides galore and some hoppin’ Western music. Dave’s Meat and Produce will be providing an “Old Time” smoked BBQ feast. Sign up in the office by July 5th. The pool will be closed on the day of the event at 12:00pm for set-up and will open again at 5:30 for the event.

Carnival Postponed

We are sorry to report that the Carnival has been postponed until later in the summer. Please check your newsletter for details. 

Instead we will be hosting Field Day on June 28th from 2-5pm. 

Join us for a fun filled day! We will have a bouncy house, inflatable obstacle course, and popcorn machine. Challenge your buddies in a water balloon fight and lawn games. Please sign up in the office - Ages 5+. 

Pool Hours

We have decided to start our summer pool hours a few days early.
Starting today, the pool hours will be as follows:
Noon-1:00pm: Adult Swim
1:00-10:00pm:  Free Swim (with Adult Swim the last 15 minutes of every hour).

Carnival!

Join us for a day filled with popcorn, cotton candy, and sno-cones!  Enjoy face-painting and  balloon animals. Soak your friends in the dunk tank. Test your skills and win prizes on our numerous carnival games.

Come join us at Tacoma Lawn for a Movie Night! Please bring your swim suits as we do not know if this will be an in-pool movie, lawn movie, or in the lounge.

Pop, pizza, and ice cream will be provided.

Kid's Treasure Hunt

Friday, June 10th 5:30-10:00pm

X marks the spot! Drop off your little wenches and salty dawgs while you enjoy some drinks at the Tournament Social. Kids with parents not participating in the social may attend.

A pizza dinner will be provided and the night will end with a showing of the movie “Hook” (PG). It will be a squash buckling good time.

Space is limited.

US Open Qualifying Tournament Social

Join us Friday, June 10th at 5:30. Gather on the Lawn to enjoy light bites and martinis.

Sit back and enjoy watching amazing high caliber tennis while sipping with your fellow members.

US Open Qualifying Tournament

The 2011 US Open National Playoffs is a series of tennis tournaments that enable eligible players the opportunity to qualify for the 2011 US Open. Each of the USTA’s seventeen sections shall be given the opportunity to run a Sectional Qualifying Tournament. Tacoma Lawn is proud to host the PNW’s US Open Playoffs Sectional Qualifying tournament. Come join us for some amazing high caliber tennis!

Opening Pool Party

Pray for good weather and bring your whole family down to celebrate the opening of the pool! This year there will be a taco bar catered by Dave's Meat Market.

Girls Only Sleepover

Join us on May 14th for the Girls Only Sleepover from 6:30pm-8:30am.
Get your giggle on and join us for a glamorous night of manis, pedis, and lip glass. Ages 7-12 and $15 per girl. There are only 10 spots and is by sign up only.

Easter Egg Brunch and Hunt

Hop on down to the Tennis Club for the Annual Easter Egg Hunt and Brunch on Saturday, April 23rd! The Easter Bunny will be available for family photo ops. Over 1,500 stuffed plastic eggs.

Phone Lines

The main phone line at the Club is down. We are working on this issue but please be patient with us. This may affect morning court reservation calls. We suggest you call us to verify we received your message. For the time being, we will be taking court reservations via email. They will be honored by the same timestamped system as voice mail messages are taken; emails sent before 6:30am will be moved to the bottom of the list. Please email your court reservations to office@tltc.us. If you would like to get ahold of us after 8:00am, please call our fax line at 253.383.5935. Thank you for your understanding and patience until we get this problem resolved.

New Website

Tacoma Lawn has recently launched a new and improved website. We hope that it will serve as an avenue for people to gather basic information about the Club. It has new features such as an expanded PNW page, photo gallery, and events calendar. We hope to launch a "members only" section in the near future. We will be updating our website often to allow for accurate information concerning tennis program schedules and pricing. Check out the new website at www.tltc.us

Welcome to Tacoma Lawn's new blog! This is our newest communication avenue to members when they are away from the Club. We hope this helps our members be knowledgeable about whats going on around the Club. We will try to update the blog once every two weeks. Thanks for your comments and we hope you come back often!
